For retreat leaders
Relax. You're Home.
A living sanctuary built on one of the largest quartz crystal plates on Earth. In the world's most biodiverse savanna. Where the land does half the work, so you can hold the field.

You need a place that already breathes the work you do. Where the land, the water, the food, and the people carry the same intention you carry into your circle.
Ashiyana Brasil is that place.
The valley your group will look out into. Rivers older than memory cutting through quartz.
02 The land itself
Three things make this land unrepeatable. Not marketing claims. Geology, ecology, and history.
Ashiyana Brasil sits on top of one of the largest concentrations of quartz crystal on the planet. Formations so old they predate complex life itself. Crystals surface through the soil. They line the riverbeds. They are everywhere underfoot.
NASA satellites first noticed Chapada in the 1960s because of how it reflects light from space. Quartz is the most powerful natural amplifier and conductor of energy known to science. The same mineral inside every chip, every watch, every fiber-optic cable. Here, it is the ground itself.
UNESCO World Heritage · Paralelo 14, like Machu PicchuChapada dos Veadeiros is officially called "Berço das Águas", the Cradle of Waters. The springs here form one of the principal headwaters of the Tocantins basin, among the last unpolluted river systems on Earth.
Water that has filtered for millennia through quartz veins emerges crystal-clear, mineral-rich, and unusually still. Your group will swim in it, drink it, and pray beside it. It does something to the nervous system that no human curriculum can replicate.
240,000 hectares of protected nascentes · Bacia do TocantinsThe Cerrado holds more than 12,000 plant species, 44% of which exist nowhere else on Earth. Over 600 are catalogued as medicinal, used for centuries by Quilombola communities and the original peoples of this land.
The Cerrado is also called the caixa d'água do Brasil, the country's water tower. Its deep root systems feed the rivers that feed the country. Walking it, your guests aren't just outside; they're inside one of the planet's oldest pharmacies.

03 The space
Every element of Ashiyana exists for one reason: to support the depth your work asks for.
A purpose-built yoga and ceremony hall, with capacity for up to 70 practitioners. Wooden cathedral ceiling, sheer curtains opening directly to the Cerrado, polished concrete floor, and an acoustic that carries voice and silence equally well.
The heart of the property. A long communal table beneath a cathedral wooden ceiling, framed by a glass wall that opens onto the mountain. This is where your group gathers, shares meals, and softens into the rhythm of the retreat.
Earthen-walled, wood-ceilinged, hand-built. Each cottage holds private decks with built-in sofas, soft lamp light, mughal-style niches, and the kind of sleep that only comes far from cities.
A river runs through the land. Clear, shallow, lined with quartz pebbles. Your group can walk to it in minutes. No permits, no other guests, no schedule. Just water that has filtered through stone for thousands of years.
An elevated wooden deck overlooking the valley, used for sunrise practice, sound baths, ceremony, or simply sitting with tea while the cerrado wakes up. A second shala, open to the sky.
And when the room isn't enough, the cerrado is your shala.
04 What naturally happens here
You bring your method. The space brings everything else.
05 Glimpses
Mornings, ceremonies, sunsets, fire. Fragments of life at Ashiyana.
06 Who holds the space
Part of the Ashiyana family of retreat centers, born in Goa in 2006 and rooted in Brazil since 2019.
Our team lives close to the land. We swim in the same river your group will swim in. We eat from the same kitchen we will cook for your retreat. We've sat in circles as participants, led groups, and now we host leaders like you.
We know what it means to carry a group. To be the one holding the field when someone breaks open, cries, or remembers something they had buried for years.
One thing worth saying: this is a home for real rest, real process, and real respect. For nature and for each person who walks through our gates.
